Position Summary
FoodCycle is seeking a reliable, hands-onFood Hub Supervisorto support day-to-day operations at our new Carson Food Hub. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both operational work and community impact.
The supervisor will oversee food handling, volunteer coordination, and daily hub readiness to ensure safe and efficient food distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hub setup and operations
- Maintain food safety and cold chain compliance
- Supervise volunteers during sorting shifts
- Coordinate with drivers and operations team
- Track inventory and basic data in Careit/Carrot
- Maintain clean and organized workspace
- Report equipment or facility issues
Schedule
Part-time, approximately 12:00 PM 5:00 PM (schedule may evolve).
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, can be flexible
Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, food bank, or logistics setting
- Strong reliability and punctuality
- Comfortable supervising volunteers
- Basic tech comfort (apps, spreadsheets)
- Ability to lift 4050 lbs
- Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
Compensation
$24$30/hour, depending on experience
Monthly health stipend available for eligible part-time employees
