Essential Functions
Training and Technical Support
Coordinate the delivery of training and technical assistance (TTA) to youth-serving agencies, schools, and community partners
Assist in developing and updating training materials, toolkits, and resource guides to support inclusive practices for LGBTQ+ youth
Support facilitation of in-person and virtual training and workshops alongside senior staff
Provide basic consultation and follow-up support to partner organizations as directed
Stakeholder Coordination
Maintain communication with partners, collaborators, and community organizations to support alignment and engagement
Assist in scheduling meetings, tracking outreach efforts, and maintaining contact lists
Support relationship-building efforts with external stakeholders and coalitions
Resource and Content Support
Contribute to the development and formatting of educational materials, issue briefs, and best-practice resources
Support the preparation of policy documents, grant attachments, and partner-facing communications
Conduct background research to inform training and resource development
Project and Grant Administration
Track project activities, timelines, and deliverables using internal systems
Assist in compiling data for reports, grant submissions, and funder updates
Monitor subcontractor deadlines and follow up as needed to ensure completion of deliverables
General Operations
Support planning and logistics for organizational events and initiatives
Participate in team meetings, site visits, and conference calls
Perform administrative and coordination tasks as needed to support program goals
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience in LGBTQ+ youth service planning, delivery, and policymaking
Minimum 2 years experience providing training and TA on issues of LGBTQ+ youth
A strong passion and drive to improve the countrys response for LGBTQ+ youth
Demonstrated experience and commitment to bringing together disparate agencies and experts to create new, intersectional approaches to expanding LGBTQ+ youth services and improving policies
Experience writing on topics related to LGBTQ+ youth and with meeting facilitation
Understanding of the issues affecting LGBTQ+ youth, primarily youth in foster care/probation system and other systems of care
Understanding of the best practice principles, frameworks, and approaches, in serving LGBTQ+ youth
Ability to demonstrate active listening skills, adult learner engagement, and group facilitation
Self-motivated, energetic, flexible, and the ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail
Proficiency with word processing, database operations, spreadsheets, and other software
Access to reliable transportation and the ability to be insured
Availability to work some evenings and weekends and to travel as necessary
Experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and familiarity with issues of particular relevance to LGBTQ+ people
A passion for the Centers work and its mission to make the world a better place for LGBTQ+ people
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse races, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expression, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, ages, English-speaking abilities, immigration status, and physical abilities in a multicultural environment
