Your opportunity At Mission Australia Housing, technology matters most when it makes everyday work simpler, clearer and more meaningful for the people who rely on it. As our Housing Systems Manager, you will shape and evolve our housing platforms with staff and residents at the centre designing solutions that are practical, intuitive and seamlessly connected across the entire service system. This role sits at the intersection of housing operations, digital enablement and lived experience. Youll work closely with frontline teams, leaders, and technical partners to ensure our systems genuinely support service delivery not complicate it. From refining workflows and improving data integrity to strengthening integrations and enhancing reporting, you will take a human-centred, systems-thinking approach to creating tools that enable better decisions and better outcomes. Your key responsibilities will be to: Play a lead role in the systems roadmap and governance, covering Civica (Cx), Assetic, 8×8, SharePoint and the website. Align business processes and system design, translating operational workflows into practical configuration, integrations, data and reporting requirements that work for end users. Drive continuous improvement of core platforms, particularly CX, working with IT and vendors to deliver enhancements that improve staff experience and resident outcomes. Own SharePoint and document management governance, including standards, permissions, audits and version control, so information is findable, current and compliant. Work closely with our housing data team, defining critical data fields and validation rules, guiding dashboards and reports, and ensuring changes meet legislative, contractual and regulatory obligations. Be the SME in systemsrelated projects, scoping issues, testing solutions, coordinating golives, supporting cyclical processes such as rent reviews and water billing, and embedding lessons learned. Build strong internal and vendor partnerships, representing Housing Operations in technical forums, managing risks and issues, and supporting new business implementations and embedding into daily operations. Requirements for success Proven experience managing or supporting complex business systems, ideally across housing, community services or another regulated operational environment. Strong ability to translate business needs into clear business process, system, data and reporting requirements, and explain technical concepts in practical, plain language. Demonstrated systemsthinking capability, with an understanding of endtoend impacts across processes, technology, data, compliance and service outcomes. Experience working collaboratively with IT teams, system vendors and crossfunctional stakeholders to deliver system improvements and manage change. Welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and design sustainable, usercentred solutions. High level of organisation and written communication skills, including the ability to develop governance documents, guidance materials and support resources. Current valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain prior to commencement. Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
