We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend 16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health. These challenges need the bold science we support, but they wont be solved by science alone. We are looking for a Funding Information Adviser to join our team. Where in Wellcome will I be working? You will be working in the Research funding team within Discovery reporting to the Funding Information Manager The Funding Information team plays a vital role in ensuring that everyone engaging with Wellcomes funding processes receives clear, accurate and timely guidance. They work with colleagues and applicants by providing expert advice on grants systems, funding schemes, policies and processes, and by responding to a wide range of internal and external queries. The team helps people navigate application routes, understand requirements, and access the information they need to apply successfully. They also strengthen Wellcomes mission by maintaining high quality grant information, delivering training across the organisation, and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes that enable Wellcome to fund work that addresses urgent health challenges What will I be doing? In this role, youll ensure colleagues and applicants have access to clear, high quality grant information, offering guidance on application processes and funding schemes. Youll also strengthen our systems by developing and maintaining templates, testing and implementing improvements, and training staff across the organisation so everyone can use our grants systems confidently and effectively. As a Funding Information Adviser, you will be: Developing and maintaining expert knowledge of our grants systems, business processes and funding schemes to enable colleagues and applicants to work effectively. Providing clear, accurate advice on grants systems, policies and processes, and responding to queries in line with agreed service standards as part of our busy Information Desk team Logging queries consistently, using this information to identify issues, inform improvements and contribute to effective, collaborative problemsolving across the team Designing, delivering and maintaining highquality training including classroom, virtual and elearning modules alongside uptodate guidance, documentation and presentation materials Contributing to the continuous improvement of our grants systems by helping to diagnose issues, test and implement changes, and maintain forms and related system materials. Contributing to wider team and organisational priorities by playing an active role in projects, promoting an inclusive culture, exercising good cost control, managing risks, and working flexibly when needed.
