Service Manager William Tarry House Supported Housing Location: Northampton Working Hours: 37 Contract Type: Permanent Salary: 35,520 – 51,060 (please note, the starting salary is 35,520) Make a real difference in your community Are you passionate about helping people rebuild their lives and achieve greater independence? Do you have the leadership skills to guide a dedicated team supporting individuals recovering from mental health challenges? Join Waythrough and lead the William Tarry House Supported Housing Service in Northampton, where you will play a vital role in supporting people to live safer, healthier, and more independent lives. About the Role William Tarry House provides 11 self-contained flats for adults recovering from mental health problems. The service is designed to support individuals in managing their accommodation while building the skills and confidence needed to transition back into independent living and the wider community. Our approach is person-centred, tailoring support for each individual to help them develop independence, improve wellbeing, and successfully reintegrate into the community. As Service Manager, you will lead the delivery and development of the William Tarry House Supported Housing Service. You will manage staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure that residents receive high-quality, recovery-focused support that promotes independence and wellbeing. This role requires a passionate leader who can motivate teams, manage service performance, and build strong relationships with local partners and stakeholders. What Youll Do Lead, manage and inspire the service team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support Ensure effective assessments, support plans and interventions for all residents Oversee the day-to-day running of the supported housing service and building management Develop and deliver service plans that drive improvement and sustainability Build strong partnerships with commissioners, community services, and external agencies Manage the service budget and ensure financial targets are achieved Monitor performance, quality assurance and compliance with relevant frameworks Recruit, train and develop staff, volunteers and students Ensure services are inclusive, accessible and responsive to diverse community needs Maintain safe systems of work, safeguarding practices and health and safety standards To Succeed in This Role, Youll Need: A Level 5 Management/Leadership qualification (or working towards it) or significant relevant experience Experience managing or delivering services supporting vulnerable people, particularly within mental health or supported housing Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and recovery-focused support Confidence using data, performance metrics and management information systems Experience managing budgets, targets and KPIs Excellent partnership-building skills with commissioners, partners and community organisations A leadership style that reflects Waythroughs values: Honest, Committed, and Inventive This is an opportunity to lead a meaningful service that supports individuals on their journey.
