Pet Partners is a national non-profit leader that supports thousands of therapy animal teams who are specially trained to lovingly share the healing benefits of pets with people in need. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedDevelopment Associateto support the Development team with responsibilities associated with donor stewardship including gift processing and acknowledgement, mailings, and daily reconciliation. The Development Associate is a part-time position, working in-office at our Bellevue, WA Headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Role Core Competencies:

  1. Demonstrated accurate and efficient processing of gifts.
  2. Accurate execution of gift acknowledgment process.
  3. Demonstrated ability to support Development staff as needed.
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and especially in writing, consistent with the roles expectations:
  • To write in a compelling manner about programs or the positions area of expertise and responsibility
  • To write in an effective manner about organizational initiatives to contribute to specific recruitment and fundraising goals
  • To write effectively to summarize data or incorporate as a foundation for strategy recommendations, consistent with expectations of the position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Database administration and data management
  • Process all mailed-in donations by inputting gift details and supporting information accurately into our Salesforce database.
  • Maintain database and donor files with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Create and run reports, build mailing lists and queries to assist development staff.
  • Stewardship:
  • Prepare and distribute gift acknowledgment letters in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and distribute pledge reminders and peer-to-peer strategic event resources and incentives.
  • Additional duties:
  • Assist with mailing tribute letters and Rainbow Bridge cards.
  • Create new facility accounts in Salesforce based on Log-a-Visit posts.
  • Keep track of in-office inventory and order more items when in low stock.

Qualifications:

Excellent attention to detail, including data entry accuracy managing high-volume workload.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direction.

Collaborative nature and ability to balance working in a team environment with self-directed projects.

Education & Experience:

2+ years of professional experience with donor database / CRM; Salesforce strongly preferred.

Demonstrable computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the use of standard office equipment like copiers and postage meters.

Position location and hours:

This is an in-office position based at our Bellevue, WA headquarters.

The work schedule is flexible; weekday daytime hours. Weekend hours available upon request by Associate and approval of supervisor once training is complete.

Hours worked could flex between 15-25 hours per week depending on gift volume.

Weekly schedule to be determined and agreed upon by Associate and supervisor.
