The Principal Legal Officer (General Law) focuses on developing strategies, providing advice, and training on contractual matters, dispute resolution, the Agency’s regulatory framework, public international law, and administrative law issues.

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive, based on United Nations P-5 salary scale.
- Estimated Monthly Equivalent: AED 38,000 - AED 55,000
- Benefits as per UN regulations for international staff.
Responsibilities:
- Directly support the Director of Legal Affairs and assist in leading the programme of work.
- Provide advice on the interpretation and application of the Agency’s regulatory framework.
- Review drafts of complex contracts, procurement modalities, and funding agreements.
- Advise on the resolution of contractual and tortious claims against the Agency.
- Supervise legal advice on administrative and employment law, including investigations and disciplinary matters.
Education & Experience:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in law, with a specialization in international, contract, commercial, or administrative law.
- At least ten years of progressively responsible experience as a lawyer in the UN, government, or private sector.
- At least two continuous years of relevant international experience outside your country of nationality.
- Experience with UN Dispute/Appeals Tribunals is desirable.
