The Senior Strategic Engagement Advisor acts as the Head of the Secretariat of the Advisory Commission on UNRWA (AdCom), tasked with advising and assisting the Commissioner-General of UNRWA. The incumbent provides strategic advice to the Director of the UNRWA Liaison Office in Geneva on engagement with Permanent Missions, the UN ecosystem, and the media landscape.

Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive, based on United Nations P-5 salary scale for Geneva.
- Estimated Monthly Equivalent: AED 45,000 - AED 60,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee substantive preparations for meetings of the Advisory Commission (AdCom).
- Provide advice to UNRWA leadership on strategic engagement with the AdCom.
- Support the strategic positioning of UNRWA within the UN ecosystem in Geneva.
- Foster political and financial support through direct engagement with Member States’ Permanent Missions.
- Oversee administrative and financial matters of the Liaison Office in Geneva.
Education & Experience:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in political science, international relations, law, or a related field.
- At least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience.
- At least five years of international experience in political outreach, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in coordination of interdisciplinary teams and engagement with the UN ecosystem.
