Job Summary
This is a part-time student assistant role within our innovative Data Analytics & AI (D&A) team. You will help develop and maintain data solutions using Power BI, SQL, Python, and Microsoft Fabric to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position offers a practical opportunity to apply your technical skills in a meaningful, humanitarian context and contribute to the mission of fighting world hunger.
Key Details:
- Job Title: Student Assistant, Data Engineering
- Location: Bonn, Germany (Hybrid work within Germany possible)
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours/week
- Remuneration: €15 per hour
- Contract: 1 year initial duration, with good prospects for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to developing data analytics and AI solutions using cloud technologies.
- Create and update internal Power BI reports to enable data-driven decisions.
- Support agile, interdisciplinary teams to convert raw data into actionable insights.
- Help set up and maintain our new data management system in Microsoft Fabric.
- Translate data flows and ETL procedures into SQL and Python.
Your Profile:
- You are a currently registered student, preferably in informatics, IT, data science, or a related field.
- You have a passion for data analysis and an interest in IT/BI topics.
- You have knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Python ETL processes, and Azure. Microsoft Fabric knowledge is a plus.
- You have strong analytical skills and enjoy extracting valuable insights from data.
- You are fluent in English (verbal and written).
- You are familiar with MS Office products, especially Teams, SharePoint, and Excel.
