Job Summary

This is a graduate project engineer role for the High-Luminosity LHC project at CERN. The position focuses on the integration and preparation for equipment de-installation and installation during the upcoming Long Shutdown 3. Responsibilities include 3D modeling with CATIA V5, updating layout databases, contributing to installation scheduling, and supporting the preparation of installation procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on integration modifications for new underground caverns and LHC alcoves.
  • Produce and update 3D models using CATIA V5.
  • Prepare and upload data to the HL-LHC lay-out database.
  • Participate in installation schedule preparation and analysis.
  • Follow up on projects to ensure smooth preparation for de-installation and installation.
  • Support the preparation of de-installation and installation procedures and contribute to Readiness Reviews.

Your Profile & Skills:

  • Experience with project control and scheduling.
  • Experience with multi-stakeholder negotiations and working in the field.
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5 and basic knowledge of 3D modelling.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and French.

Eligibility Criteria

  • You must be a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation.
  • Your highest qualification is a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Applicants without a university degree or with a PhD are not eligible.
  • You have not previously held a CERN fellow or graduate contract.
