Mammographer

Leicester Hospital | Radiology | Bank | Ad hoc

Up to 35.00 per hour

As a Mammographer at our Leicester Hospital , youll bring advanced technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and youre caring by nature. As well as a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), you have a postgraduate qualification in mammography.

As a Mammographer, you will:

Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload

Work with leading practitioners in the department, on the ward and in theatre

Experience new practices, equipment and facilities

Develop policies, procedures and junior colleagues

See each patient as an individual and operate with understanding and empathy

Provide a service of the highest quality, with sensitivity and compassion

Our Ideal Mammographer will have:

High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.

A caring nature to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.

A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

A postgraduate qualification in mammography

Post registration experience relevant to the role.

Excellent communication and team working abilities.

Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The Hospital has a strong local reputation with patients remaining loyal. The Hospital had a 4.5 million refurbishment in 2011 and was the blue print for the wider Hospitals refresh programme. The Hospital has 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms.
