$54,113 to $55,525 + super + NFP salary packaging benefits

Your Opportunity

The Pre and Post Release Support Service (PPRSS) in Alice Springs delivers practical, structured support to adult prisoners preparing for release and rebuilding life in the community. As a Case Manager, you will work directly with men and women with complex needs, starting up to three months prior to release and continuing through their reintegration journey. The focus is on real outcomes including stable housing, reduced reoffending, stronger family and kinship connections, and pathways into training or employment.

You will take ownership of a caseload that requires sound judgement, resilience, and a calm, solutions-focused approach. This is an on-site position, embedded in a program that values initiative, accountability, and professional integrity. Working under general supervision, you will apply Mission Australias National Case Management Approach to deliver culturally safe, strength-based support in a high-trust, high-impact environment where your decisions and actions genuinely matter.

Your Key Responsibilities

Deliver intensive, person-centred and culturally safe case management to participants with complex needs using Mission Australias National Case Management Approach.

Complete assessments, intake processes and case planning, including the development and regular review of individual Reintegration Care Plans.

Support participants pre and post release to address housing, alcohol and other drug use, family connection, training, employment and community reintegration.

Conduct risk assessments, provide brief therapeutic interventions, and coordinate referrals to internal and external services as required.

Lead and participate in case conferences with key stakeholders to reduce service duplication and improve participant outcomes.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with participants, internal teams, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, and external service providers.

Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records, reports and case notes in line with program requirements, funding contracts and organisational policies.

Requirements for Success

Relevant degree or diploma in community services or a related field, with at least one year of experience supporting people with complex needs, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Proven experience applying a case management approach with clients involved in the justice system or facing significant social disadvantage.

Strong understanding of prison release, community reintegration, and the challenges associated with housing instability, alcohol and other drug use, and recidivism.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, supported by cultural awareness and respectful practice.

High level of personal resilience, sound judgement, and the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to complete clear, accurate documentation and reports.

First Aid Certification is desired but not essential.

Full driver licence with no restrictions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
