Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree (Masters degree or equivalent) in human resources management, business or public administration, social sciences, education or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Human Resources Partner Certification is required.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required. The table below shows the minimum required level for each skill in these languages, according to the UN Language Framework (please consult https://languages.un.org for details).   • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management is required. At least five years of human resources experience within the United Nations Common System is required. At least five years of experience using HR modules of an ERP systems, such as Umoja is required. At least five years of experience using Application Tracking Systems, such as Inspira, is required. Experience designing, developing and implementing a departmental or organization-wide human resource strategy is required. At least two years of experience working on organization-wide strategic HR projects is desirable.
